Mac Apple Silicon (M Chips)

Post by PointsWell »

Are other users running AIM natively on Apple Silicon?

If so, does anyone else have an issue with the Server intermittently going into a loop and never getting beyond the Starting... message?

The server has adequate memory allocated 1GB.

works for me. Have MSQL running under Docker and AIM connecting to it.

I run AIM natively on a Mac mini (M2) with no issues.

If your Mac does a restart while AIM is running does it still start? (E.g. after a MacOS software update)

I do manual updates so my Mac doesn’t restart without me knowing. I have a window where I do the updates and I shutdown/restart AIM during the update. In the 13+ years of using a Mac remote server, it has rarely shutdown without me initiating it. And no, AIM doesn’t automatically start up, I do it manually.
