Using ConfigTool in a multiuser RD environment

Post by Antoine »

Has anyone been able to use the standalone ConfigTool on a multiuser RD environment? The tool will only launch from the user that installed the application. I'm also unable to launch it from a different user account on a standard Windows 10 machine.

As of using the Tool via the WAN new 8.8 feature, I'm assuming that the cummunication traffic as been reduced to make it an acceptable experience (?) but I have noit seen much discussion on it including any security related ascpects?

I'm using version 8.8

Whats RD?
Why can’t you launch it?
Is there a question in that last paragraph ?

RD as in Remote Desktop? Are you using a Terminal Server?
If you do, you need to make sure you are installing the application correctly:

I havn't tried the Config Tool in this sort of environment so I don't know if it will actually work. But using "install mode" is the correct way when installing stuff on a Terminal Server.
