Version 2.2=Great news?

Post by mcs »

Hi!

version 2.2 witch provides the missing link to Oracle is great news !

Just to make sure, is it possible to send a sql request and recieve a set of data. Example: In a medical solution for a departement, i would like to avoid duplicating patients. Patients have a unique ID for all applications in a centralized Oracle database. Can i question the Oracle central system for a patient name + birthday and select the right person if any, from a set of related persons ?! Dynamically R/W - with permission- ?

Please, say yes !

Regards

The answer is YES.

When a table is discovered Aware IM automatically displays all data columns of the table. You need to specify primary key(s) for the table. Once you do this you will be able to perform queries, view, modify and delete individual records (just as you would with "native" Aware IM objects). Or you can specify access level protection to only query and view such objects and disallow modifying them.
