Reported in 2008

Happened to me in 2018 and again yesterday and now.
(same issues for me now as in 2018 - trying to start Batch files/curl job/powershell and process just spins - once that happens its foobar)

Its the middle of the day, and one of my published BSV's is "locked up" because of this.
So I cannot update that BSV with other completed tasks, because I cannot reboot the server because another BSV is in production with live users and I cannot interrupt them.

So I'm down for 4-6 hours until I can restart Aware control panel tonight.
Nothing in EXECUTION CONTEXTS.

There's got to be something that can be run on the system to fix this without restarting Aware. Even if its a batch file like "register.bat" which runs a .jar to do some cleaning. Sure would help.

This is not an "issue", but an intended behaviour - you cannot publish a version while active users are working. Yes, you have to wait.

But there are no other users
It will never clear up

I ran an “execute program” and it never returned and aware is confused.

If the only way to clear is to reset aware,
Then why can’t there be a routine to clear the offending info by an administrator,
Instead of a hard reset of aware?

People publish versions all the time when active users are working.
The system just display s a message to the users to login later.
That’s not the issue here.

I occasionally have this issue too.

Aware thinks processes are running which prevents BSV from being published.
The processes in question are not running and I have not been able to determine why Aware thinks they are still running.

In my case, I just reset Aware and publish the BSV. Any users active at the time are kicked off. Yes, I am that evil admin

I have encountered this for the first time.

I am running on a dev server with the only user being me. How do you end a process that has gone amuck?

When I have issues, I delete from Execution_Context and that usually fixes things for m.
