I've recently begun to use Amazon Alexa for some home automation. On doing so, I've come across some articles that discuss using Alexa to access data via REST-ful APIs.

Alexa- Yes there are many integrations done with Alexa. If you are asking for integrating Aware IM data with Alexa then yes its possible. There is a Guy who was able to integrate Alexa with Aware IM data in real time.
