Import CSV Files - Where Do They Disappear To?

I have been testing the importation of some data via CSV files held outside the AIM directory structure.

Once they have imported they are removed from the folder. Where do they go?

Hopefully they are not just deleted...

My vague recollection is after IMPORT ACTION runs the imported file is deleted on Windows but remains on MAC & Linux.

And the solution (if you want to keep the original file) is to create a COPY of the file before IMPORT action.

been like that for 3 years - wipes your file if you're not careful.
the interactive import has a checkbox to retain the file - that should be an improvement in 8.x
