We have successfully created API to integrate office 365 powerpoint word and salesforce.com(contacts, opportunities, accounts, contracts).
In case of powerpoint you can directly insert data from aware IM or any system as a new slide.
In case of salesforce.com you can push pull salesforce.com data bidirectionally.
If anyone has a need to push data to powerpoint word or salesforce.com or any external system via rest api or via automation Please message me.

yes its absolutely possible. Using MS office 365 api we can integrate any external objects(aware IM, anything, excel data, ppt data, word data) to office 365 2 way live/scheduled etc.
