I would like to display an icon that would provide the user with a list of operations that they can perform from within each data item of the grid. If they click on the icon they could do one of the following: Send Email, Add Notes, etc. See screen shot below for an idea of what I am looking to do.

Isn't that what the "Create menu button for [item] operations" in 'Display Query Results' Dialog is for?

I don't know how I missed that - I was just trying to remove my post because I just found that. It was staring me directly in the face!

As of V7, a [nice] new feature was offered related to this subject. Instead of having all the buttons show on the row and take up space, you can group them and then offer a single dropdown button with icon that will show all the buttons to user to select from. Very useful!
