Zimbra Open Client Integration

Has anyone done any integration with Zimbra? We have a client that is interested in syncing their mail from Zimbra into AwareIM. Integration would mainly be just finding the email address of the contact and attaching the email.

If Zimbra offers any API for developers, then it should be possible to integrate by writing a plugin.
