Just wondering if there is a close all (closable) tabs option?

Don't think so, but would DISPLAY PERSPECTIVE accomplish the same thing?

If I add a menu option 'Change Perspective' it redisplays the form which achieves that same as Close all tabs.

Simply use the "Home Page" option in the Menu Settings of the Visual Perspectives

Actually that would only work if you are currently displaying the same VP as the one you land on when you log in. I make extensive use of multiple VPs for one user in the systems that I design, so the best practice for me is DISPLAY PERSPECTIVE.
