Hi Peter, If I could add my two pennies worth as a newbie developer - and I hope this doesn't sound too patronising - it isn't meant to. 1) No company is so small they can't afford a cheapo box stuck in the corner somewhere acting as a server. My developement box cost me less than £250 to build (abo...

Hi Rolf,
When are you generatiing the customer ID? If you are generating it during the form initialisation (using for example customer.id = MAX.customer.id then you could do systemsettings.customerid=customer.id immediately after

Hi Tom, Thanks for the BSV. It worked - and so does mine now. The difference between the two was that on the general tab on my process - middle section - "Process Input" I had moved my Flyingsheet from the "Available" column to the "For this Process" column. You hadn't in your test BSV. As soon as I...

Ps .... I should add that the "Edit" part of the processw isn't working either. The process for input list still apeared - this time with the latest day's sheet in it. Once selected, the rule evaluates correctly and I am taken to the latest daily sheet to continue working

Latest update. I created a new minor version which got rid of th erogue already deleted rule but the problem still persists. The process seems to get suspended - waiting for input - on a pink coloured line with a yellow exclamation mark symbol which says "Adding action ENTER NEW Flyingsheet using Se...

Hmmm ... It seems to still be trying to evaluate a rule that got deleted a couple of sessions ago.

Is there a way to fix this? As you're probably asleeo over there, I'll run an integrity check and check back here in a few hours (have to earn some pennies to live)

Still failing to understand processes

It should be a simple thing - but I've wasted three days on this and am no further forward. When my duty clerks signs in, I want them to see the current day's flying sheet if it has been already started (a session may time out in between flights if it's not a busy day on the airfield.) if no flying ...

Hi Technopak, This from the user manual " Rule usage during form re-calculation Sometimes it may be necessary to dynamically re-calculate attribute values on forms while the user is making changes. For example, you may have a calculation rule that calculates value of an attribute based on values of ...

You speak just like a pilot kklossen. That's what I have at the moment. The problem was(is) that certainly for the next few months we are going to have to live with our old access based Financial system and will be linked table through to the Aware DB. I was just trying to make life simple for the g...

preserving reference integrity when moving between bo's

This is an "is this possible" type of question. I have a set of members who never "die" they just "cease to fly" - and that's because there are lots of referenced records attached to the member that I don't want to leave orphaned, such as flight records. What I'd like to do is create a business obje...
