[IMPLEMENTED]FR - Switch to disable auto add fields to Forms

When you have done a bunch of work on a Form it would be useful to be able to switch off auto form creation. This would prevent changes to the BO adding fields onto the form 'by accident' when they are not relevant.

Re: Query Display Issue

Why not store the decimals you use, and just display them as percentages (change the display format for the attribute in the query to #%). I think that will display 0.1 as 10% in the query result. I store the commission as an integer because it is too confusing for end users to enter 0.15 in the da...

Count Items in Context Only

Is there a way to count only the items that are in Context or do I have to count all the BOs based on the criteria that I had them in Context?

Query Display Issue

I have a query that returns a commission rate. The commission is stored as an integer (that is to say I commission/100 is used when I calculate). I store the commission as an integer because it is too confusing for end users to enter 0.15 in the data entry field when they are entering data - they ar...

Re: Process Execution

PointsWell option is 1 way to do it. There are at least 2 other options: 1) Remove your FINDs from Process 1 and 4 and add it in your Main process and add your BO to the Process Input of the processes that update or use it. 2) Keep your FIND where it is, in Process 1 and on your FIND add IN BATCHES...

Re: Process Execution

As the commit doesn’t happen until the end of the process you would want to kick off the process that requires the updated version of BO1 in series with the process that makes the original updates So P1>P2>P3>P4 Which when you look at the log will look like P1 do stuff call P2 P2 do stuff call P3 P3...

Re: How to retrofit a BO to use in calendar

As the Irish joke goes, “but I wouldn’t start from here” I had a similar but different challenge in that I have a BO with multiple dates all of which have to be tracked on a calendar. I managed this by creating Appointment Bo off the back of a WAS CHANgED rule that watched for changes on the date fi...

Re: Design tips needed. Can I get your opinion on this?

You will get into problems if you have a BO with multiple owned by. If you need to have it as OB and you need to look at all the documents all at once I would make a BO Group called Documents I'd then create 3 BOs under that OpDocs VendDocs CustDocs Each of these need to have common fields such as F...

[RESOLVED BUILD 3011] High Sierra / Safari Separator

Question for anyone running Mac 10.13 / Safari 11

Does anyone have an issue with Separators not showing their drop down triangle?

I just wonder if Client would be happy to pay another 9c so as to not have to enter the last half of their address. ;-)
Haha - true! I have been looking at address validation services as data collection quality in my industry is atrocious on a good day.

It is pretty much in line with what I have seen elsewhere. Do you have a cheaper provider?

Re: Refresh Panels in VP

Sean, so are there 2 changes that need to be done to the BSV (address Query & address View), or have you updated it? Don't really have time at the moment to make an update. It was posted to demonstrate a particular principle, ie restricting access to and refreshing panels based on a parent BO's att...

Re: Best method for quick data entry when packing inventory

It's a bit difficult to advise from a screen grab without a use case. What about creating a non persisting BO with any temporary fields that you want and as the final process (i.e. when you press the button) run a CREATE BO with the attributes taken from the non persisted BO. The only risk that you ...
