selective tab display
I have a very complex form for an Account that has a number of tabs. Users with Access Level SalesManager should be able to see all tabs. Other Access Levels should not be able to see all of the tabs. Is there a way in Aware to restrict access to tabs? I really, really need a way to copy and paste o...

forms for BOGs?
Is it possible to have a query for a business object group that uses a form? Doesn't look that way. It should be possible to either create a form in a sub-object, that uses just the common attribute subset, or create it directly in the BOG. Alternatively, when I make a BOG query that uses the (Ask a...

user defined reports
I seem to remember that a month or two ago new functionality was introduced allowing end-users to make, store, and run their own reports without needing access to the Configurator.
I can't find anything in the User Manual about this.
Is that so? And if so, how is it done?
thanks,
Terry

I'm not sure if we are both talking about the same thing here. I have a query call 'Accounts: All'. This finds all existing Accounts and shows a list of them. On the query definition screen in the Operations area I have an operation called Delete that runs a process called Account_Delete. In the For...

Delete versus Remove
When an object instance is removed from a reference list it is not deleted, only removed. The Aware actions clearly disctiminate between the deletion of an object instance and its removal from a reference list: DELETE, REMOVE. The Aware UI/Configurator insists on calling both Delete. It would, I thi...

I have a process that deletes Accounts. This process has rules: If Question.Reply='Yes' Then DISPLAY QUESTION 'Continuing will delete this Account and all of its history. Sure you want to delete it?' If Question.Reply='Yes' Then Delete Account I call it from a query. It is set to allow selection of ...

conditional display of delete button
I have a query that finds all Companys. On the list of Companys the query finds I have Edit and Delete buttons. The Delete button uses my own deletion process. I only want this button to be displayed if: LoggedInRegularUser.AccessLevel='SalesManager' OR LoggedInRegularUser.AccessLevel='Administrator...

Suppose that you have objects Account and Company. They are peers. Account.Company is a 1 to 1 reference with matching attribute Company.Accounts, which is a many to 1. If I find and delete a Company that has a reference to an Account, will it automatically be removed from the Account.Company attrib...

OK so I'm working with the rules of the Account object. I've just made a rule and now want to make a similar rule. Using your approach I have to. 1. Save the rules for the object I'm on 2. click in the tree to open that object stuff 3. click in the tree to open up the list of rules. 4. find the rule...

Object Account has reference attribute to a Task called NextContact, a unidirectional peer 1to1 relation. Account also has reference attribute Tasks, a bidirectional 1tomany peer relation to Tasks. When a new Account is created a new Task is also made and set in NextContact and Tasks. Because Tasks ...

Wish: duplication of forms, sections and rules
It should be possible to duplicate a Form and, separately, form sections within a business object.
The same is true of rules.
I spend afair bit of wasted time doing this kind of thing by hand.

In the Configurator, clicking the up or down arrows move an menu item only within its containing folder. I want to be able to move an item anywhere. Behaviour would be: Folder1 Item1.1 Folder2 Item2.1 So clicking the up arrow repeatedly on Item2.1 would work like: Folder1 Item1.1 Item2.1 Folder2 -- ...
