I would also like to request that each time you do a "Publish" or "Update" operation, that the Configuration Tool automatically export a copy of the new business space to the local file system. That way, if you lose your connection during the publish/update process and the Configuration Tool locks u...

We used to have the problem of one hour difference on XP - in our case the problem was solved by playing with the Daylight saving setting in the XP date/time dialog. Try to turn it on or off and see if it makes any difference. I could probably force it to be in sync, by disabling Daylight Savings T...

Feature Request: Override Column Names in Queries
I would like to be able to specify custom column header labels in queries, rather than having to use the default attribute presentation. This is particularly important in queries, since it may be necessary to abbreviate the column header labels to prevent the table from becoming too wide and scrolli...

Question About Process Input Table
The documentation for the "Start Process" form operation states the following: "If the object defined as the process input is different from the owner of the form, you must specify the input in the “Value” column of the “Process Input Table”. Click on the appropriate cell in the “Value” column and e...

Feature Request: "Query" Attribute Type
I'd like to be able to insert queries onto forms. Therefore, I'd like to request that you create a new attribute type called "Query". This would work like a shortcut, except that it would allow the user to select from the list of queries and would display the results as a read-only table.

I just installed the very latest version of Firefox (2.0.0.3) on a brand new computer and it's experiencing the same issue. I would suggest that you test it on your end with this version of Firefox and figure out what's causing this problem. Obviously, Firefox support is essential for any web applic...

Database Administration GUI for Derby
Although Aware IM is a fully self-contained system that manages your database for you, there may still be times when you need to access the database directly. If you're using MySQL, there are dozens of database administration tools available. However, if you're using Derby (Aware IM's built-in datab...

I was able to resolve this by exporting the business space, deleting it from the server and re-importing it. However, I would suggest that you look into ways to protect against this type of data corruption from happening. I'm not sure exactly what caused it, but as I mentioned, I had renamed and del...

So, for now, I would like to rely on GZIP if someone can explain to me how to enable it. Hi Erik, To enable GZIP, open the file server.xml, which is located in your AwareIM/Tomcat/conf directory. Next, look for the following section in the file: <!-- Define a non-SSL Coyote HTTP/1.1 Connector on po...

Exception Publishing Business Space - HELP!
I'm getting an "Exception Publishing Business Space" error when I try to publish. The full error message is: "Could not prepare entity statement 14 'DROP TABLE' cannot be performed on 'BUYPROPERTY_DEALNOTE' because it does not exist. Prior to publishing, I had deleted/renamed several BO's. The 'Deal...

"Do not apply the change to any other business objects&
This option appears to do nothing. When I select it, Aware IM continues to prompt me for the same change to other business objects. These aren't different changes. It's the same change over and over again. For example, if I change an attribute in a BO and then choose the above option, it continues t...

Elmar, I don't know why pbrad was so rude to you, but I can assure you, he does not represent most of the users on this forum. I did not get the impression that you were trying to plug any products and I found your English to be perfectly understandable. I also happen to agree with your assertion th...

I thought about this some more and I came to the conclusion that this solution does not address my primary objective. I want to be able to create a library of documents that can be attached to any email, by reference. The idea is to save database space by eliminating redundant storage of frequently ...

Thanks! I will definitely give that a try. It would be really cool if the OutboundEmail and IncomingEmail notifications directly supported reference attributes to attachments. In other words, you would just add a reference to the Attachment BO in the notification attributes and Aware IM would automa...
