Re: a Q about BO groups, and adding fields
I don't loose any sleep about adding attributes that are blank in some (or many) instances. Storage is cheap these days compared to the day when you and I were first trained. Moving past that speed bump in your mind allows you to keep leveraging Aware IM to do what it does best .. rapid [quality] ap...

Re: Had another user import a Excel file instead of CSV, trashed the grid
I have never understood why the dialog box for Import shows any other type of file than CSV.

Re: Need 3rd system table
Thanks for bringing session values back to min, Niels. From the Persistence section of the User Guide: If you choose Not persisted option instances of the business object will be temporarily created in memory (see Data Storage). In this case the instances are destroyed when they are no longer needed...

Re: Softball question: How to calculate duration
Duh ,,, I was using the wrong beginning & ending attributes. I was using a couple of beginning & ending integer record counters instead of my timestamp attributes. Log_Sync_OIP.Sync_OIP_Duration=Log_Sync_OIP.Sync_OIP_Ended_ts-Log_Sync_OIP.Sync_OIP_Started_ts Even though I have _ts suffixes on my tim...

Softball question: How to calculate duration
I'm sure this is easy. I have a log with with start and end times of a scheduled process and want to show the duration as well.
3 attributes:
Log_Sync_OIP.Sync_OIP_Duration
Log_Sync_OIP.Nbr_OIP_Sync_End
Log_Sync_OIP.Nbr_OIP_Sync_Start
3 attributes:
Log_Sync_OIP.Sync_OIP_Duration
Log_Sync_OIP.Nbr_OIP_Sync_End

Re: anyone else have trouble with Logging windows?
Is there another way to show the latest Production Log info in the viewer other than clicking back and forth between Control Panel tabs and responding to a prompt?

Re: anyone else have trouble with Logging windows?
Support, but if a Customer issue arises, I also cannot turn Production Log on and see whats happening. This has not always been the case. Has the production log mechanism changes since V6.x? Like Jaymer mentioned, I believe I used to be able to easily go into the Control Panel to turn logging on wit...

Re: Had a import Mishap today. No bueno.
I haven't had the same exact result, but I've loaded a non CSV file in by mistake.
It sure seems like the "Data file" dialog should only allow CSV files to be selected.

Is anyone else getting "completed" message too soon?
In the example above, there is another process involved which has been called.
I'm experiencing the same "early" complete message in a simple process that FINDs and UPDATEs all instances of a BO.

Is anyone else getting "completed" message too soon?
I have many processes set to go into background mode as soon as they start by setting "Background Process Interval" to 1. I'm not seeing as the "complete" message right after it goes into background mode: Complete_1.jpg But when I check "Active Processes", the process is still clearly running. Compl...
