VP Panel Margins Inner v Outer

With the Modern v Classic panel layout the following settings (which have confused me endlessly) now thoroughly perplex me. Screen Shot 2021-05-21 at 15.32.43.png I assumed that the outer margin related to how the panel is positioned relative to other panels while the inner margin related to how the...

Mac Configurator - Greyscale Too faint

At some point the greyscale being used for lowlight text has become too light to be legible.

Re: Unique attribute

I'd like to have a "Unique" property for a BO attribute instead of coding a rule to do that. It can also be associated to a specific error message to display if the value already exist in the BO. I'm curious why you are opposed to having a rule do this along with REPORT ERROR I'm guessing that it's...

Process Auditing

This was prompted from a question here where I suggested the use of an Audit Object to trigger scheduled processes as an alternative to having long processes called from the Scheduler. How it works Press the button on the Query Screen Shot 2021-05-21 at 11.41.29.png The Process only does one thing -...

Re: Who are Capterra

Anyone know who Capterra are? and has anyone from AIM authorised them to do a survey or get feedback. I keep getting emails asking me to click a link. Call me paranoid but ...... They surveyed about 3 years ago, around the time that AIM got a write up in PC News (or some other blog). There should b...

BASServer.old

I have just noticed with build 2919 that my configured version of BASServer.props has been renamed BASServer.old - is this a new behaviour of the AIM install?

This is always a hassle, how about adding a configuration tool setting where we can change this instead in a simple way?
There's a need for the installer to manage updates not fresh installs every time.

Re: changing /AwareIM in URL to /OurApps

Also is this going to create any impact. I have a good support article(from forum post) to do these steps- change awareIm word in 5 places(web config, js files etc) and then it works, may be when we reinstall aware we have to do the same steps again. other than that is there any other issue? Put a ...

Re: Bulk editing records

Create a query for your classes. Make it small as you'll use it as a pick list. For demo purposes we'll call it ClassQuery Create a process. Input should be the BO that you are working with Process should contain Pick one from ClassQuery BO.Attribute=Class.Attribute On the query from which you want ...

Re: how to do load balancer in aware im based app

Put NGINX or Apache in front of the AIM servers and move the database to its own server, you'll then have failover as well as load balancing.

8.6 Custom Query Builder

I am confused by the new custom query builder. The options are Vertical or Horizontal. However Horizontal requires an image attribute. But I you add an image to the BO then select Horizontal you can switch off the image. If I can create a horizontal card without an image, why does the horizontal car...

FR - Custom Query Builder Icons

First feature request from v8.6 download.

The Custom query builder is looking good. Can we have the ability to use icons instead of labels for the buttons please.

Thanks

Re: Scheduling hope and best practices?

If your concern is that the scheduler starts a process that runs too long and prevents the scheduler starting another process then I would approach this by decoupling the scheduler from the process. You could create an Audit log BO. Give it a start and end time attribute and any logging that you wa...

Re: Who Uses EXEC_SPF?

I use it a little to compile dashboard data so I only ever get numbers back so would not have noticed this issue. As a side note, what does SPF stand for? Stored Procedure Function? It automatically makes me think of Sun Protection Factor, but then SMH also means Sydney Morning Herald to me, so mayb...
