Re: Auto populate attribute
There’s a lot of stuff going on here. I would think you’re gonna want to use an encrypted URL, because if I saw a URL like the one you showed in your example, I would change it from June 22 to June 23 to June 24 just to play with it and see what else happened, if I was some techie type on the other ...

Re: Query List not displaying any Records - Version 8.7 upgrade
Since you mentioned “access level quote
In the config tool go check the access level and look at all of the elements that it has access to.
Maybe some of them do not have full access.

How I lost 90 minutes of my life last night - Windows 2016 server
you know each month there are win updates that the system nags you about. so i had to install updates. let them download for 5-10 mins then restarted. but Aware wouldn't start. kept saying a port was in use. "tomcat must already be running" and would quit the CP I ran 'currports' and sure enough, so...

Re: Auto-refresh of a panel doesn't work if the trigger process is not executed manually?
-> Is there a way to achieve auto-refresh of a panel as soon as the VP is shown
The panel itself can show a query OR the output of a process (dorefresh). That's what will happen the first time the vp appears.
Don't have the panel be empty.

Re: How to default a value in a query
ahh, can't help with a direct answer to your Q then. was going to make sure you knew about new-ish input fields in the query header, using global vars (the NP session fields), and the new-ish "same panel" output option. But if you have too many fields then it may not all fit above in Top panel toolb...

Is that date the only field that prompts for a value?

Re: Searching date range with > AND < operators
True,
Kendo doesn’t allow that.
You’ll have to enable the column menu and train the user to use “between” with 2 dates,
Or make a sep. VP panel that’s refreshes the grid,
Or add input fields to the Grid header

Re: How to replace viewed forms in a tab using a process
there's 5 variables involved here (at least), all dependent on EXACTLY what you mean and you want. example: you say he changes a field and the form becomes read only. for sake of discussion, let's say its a field "Paid in Full" (PIF). makes sense - once this record is PIF you can't edit ALL or SOME ...

Re: How do I get the value of FORM fields when executing Javascript from a Button?
Jim, I don’t think I got a specific answer. I think I just changed what I was doing, but it was so long ago, I can barely think of which app this was about. But it depends on if you’re trying to get access to a field on a form or in a grid, because the syntax is different. Perhaps you might need to ...

Re: How to show a table column value in a header
you said you wanted it in the header, and you're right, it doesnt refresh up there the same as on the inside of a form. if this was a form, you could use the top line in the form as an HTML row, and place the field there. you can easily style it to make it jump out on the screen better. but for a gr...

Re: How to show a table column value in a header
one idea. how about, as part of your process that displays the grid or form where you want to display this Status field, you read the single line from the file and store it in a SystemSettings field. Then, in the Header of the form, you can use <<SystemSettings.StatusField>> Since the only way to di...

Re: Conditional Element on Report
If You can put that conditional text element online by itself, then print it via a sub report.
Use a FIND to locate the Child.
For the sub report check the option that says don’t print if no data exists/something like that.
Have sub report trim down to just print that static text and then it exits.
