Re: (free) native app RAD with REST

Its pretty simple Mark - he suppresses the internal UNIQUE ID # in REST output.
This ID "SHOULD BE", I guess, but cannot test, the ID thats used in Appgyver.
No video or demo needed - just provide a way to get the ID.

Re: (free) native app RAD with REST

Improvements:
1. PUT and DELETE HTTP verbs supported when exposing REST services

Re: (free) native app RAD with REST

@support should give us an update on this.

Mark was talking with him to put these updates into Aware.

Still don't understand why 'Stretch to Bottom of Screen' in a Grid cannot fill the grid rows

Just upgraded to 8.5 Here is an example of a previously (and unresolved) discussed topic. Why can't the grid get filled with rows BASED ON THE size of the window. This grid has to be set to "Return 30 Rows" - but why can't Aware "figure it out" and just return whats needed based on the current scree...

Re: passing parameters to processes triggered by rules

Now I understand what he’s trying to do. And as Sean pointed out, values aren’t passed in memory when you think they’re in context. Aware is doing a physical read to load records in the context. So whether it reads it or you do a find, it’s pretty much all the same (just so you realize physical IO i...

Re: 2 Redraw bugs in 8.4 - or is it just me

Good idea, but I just made the Rule dynamic - but no change.
The Rule, keeping the parent field SUM'd correctly is not the issue.

Its Aware's Redraw logic.

Re: 2 Redraw bugs in 8.4 - or is it just me

The rule is NOT dynamic.

Yes, TicketStorage is in the Auto Refresh Settings (normally not, but there from when I was trying all options on Issue # 1, where it did not help)

2 Redraw bugs in 8.4 - or is it just me

The MAIN ISSUE here is the redrawing of the Parent form to show updated values of the Current Qty field. here's a simple parent-child screen. the grid are detail recs from a peer multiple RedrawBug.png The Current Qty field is maintained by a Rule in the Parent: If StorageDetails WAS REMOVED FROM T...

Re: [SOLVED] Grids: Retain column config with SAVE STATE. Error saving.

@Tom Aware's default size is 3000 bytes. I wouldn't say its a bug, its no diff than any of us have done, estimating the length of a field figuring it would hold all possible values. You can see all the 'crud' in this string... here's data for just one field: "sortable":true,"field":"date_received","...

Re: Grids: Retain selected columns & ordering across sessions? SAVE STATE works?

My issue was solved by looking at the Server Output window while doing a SAVE STATE.
There was a SQL truncation error because the Kendo string that needs to be saved was too long to fix in Aware's field.
I had to modify BAS_Users_Prefs and change PrefValue to VARCHAR(MAX)

Re: (free) native app RAD with REST

Mark

1) put/delete are not support by which?
2) can you give some "bigger picture" benefit of how you thought you could use this tool to improve your Applications?

thx

ActiveMQ Issues - Out of Memory - Server crashing - When Logging Active

Aware 8.4, Windows 2016 Server, MSSQL This is maybe the 3rd or 4th time I've had this happen on an active app. Last night I restarted Aware. I activated Production Logging to test some REST functions. When done for the night, I left the logging on, but made sure i had no output windows open. Sure en...
