I am trying to test AwareIM 4.8 on a Suse linux box. I keep having tomcat reporting that port in use irrespective of which port I use - 8080, 8181, etc. However If I start tomcat from outside awareIM, I do not get any such error. I am evaluating AwareIM for lots of things. Is this instability a common issue or is it just as a result of your specific environment?

thanks for the help. Finally brought Aware up on port 80 after stopping apache completely and stopping firewall and restarting the computer!

I tried to run on port 80 without success. I will try changing the port address. After that, the Aware console comes up and I can proceed. However, I cannot connect to localhost:8080 in the browser where the browser reports that connection fails.
