Small issue with pop up description.
If you have an attribute that presents choices on a form, and if you present those choices by selecting "generate radio buttons", in the presentation, you will not get the "?" icon if you have selected "show description as a pop up window". You can see the description if you use "show description un...

Now I remember why I set up contact info and other member information in separate objects. I went back and combined all the other objects into the one "member" object. In other words, I deleted the other objects and put all their attributes under member. I have set up the tabbed forms for both views...

Your last comment about why separate the contact info into a different object really set a light off in my head. You are absoutely right. I guess I was just trying to keep the number of attributes in Member down, but the question is..."why should I"? I feel pretty dumb now. I have 3 objects I can co...

Need Help with
I have a "Member" object. New members register with a registration form that is only used for a first time registration. This registration form collects only a small portion of the data that is allowed after registration. This is to keep the initial amount of information the new member has to enter ...

More Form View Choices
If you allow inline editing on a form, or if you view a form where you have pulled in a reference attribute, say from a child table (oops...I mean child object), you get the data across a single row. This has been driving me nuts, as I can't use inline editing, or view the data without it going way ...

Thanks for the reply. I'd really like to see that capability in a future version. I did get that functionality using "presentations" as you mentioned. It does add extra steps though as you must basically get your search down to the subject you want to email and use an extra link to bring up the pres...

Attribute Suggestion
I'm evaluating your software right now, and I will say I'm pretty impressed. It does things in a really cool way that really doesn't need much tweaking for the user interface. That said, I am working on a "Public" database that mainly collects information from it's users. An important part of that i...

Turn Forum Edit and Delete On
I tend to stay out of forums that don't offer edit and delete for the member's own posts. I like those features. I wouldn't have two identical posts in this one if they were on. My first submission froze, and I figured it did not go through, so I did another submit. Turns out both went through, and ...

Different Views Depending on Query Set-up?
I have two queries set-up to run on the same business object. The first query is set-up utilizing the " Where " section and selecting attributes . Let's call this Method 1. The other query is set-up using the " own form " method. I set up a special form just for this query so I could use the drop do...

How to "View" Your Own Member Data?
I have a menu item on the "member" view perspective that is called "View Your Info". I cannot figure out how to have this menu item bring up that particular logged on member's information. In my "member" business object I have a form for editing, and a form for viewing. The view form is open to the ...

Wow...what service from the Aware IM guys, and on the weekend, no less! Looks like a little bug with using a password with the root user in MySQL. I set up a new user with all access, and no password, changed the BASServer.props file to reflect this, and viola...worked like a charm. Special thanks t...

I sent you an email with whatever information I thought might help to pinpoint the problem here. Mysql seems to be running fine. Maybe is has something to do with the BASServer.props file, but I set it up just as described in the installation manual. This software looks very interesting, and hopeful...

No Luck With Eval Software
I downloaded the evaluation software, along with mysql 5.0. I installed both, and changed my root password as needed in the BASServer.props file in the bin directory. I get through the activation of JBoss and Tomcat ok, but when it gets to the Aware IM Server it gives the error: Aware IM was unable ...
