Well after a lot of messing around and a support ticket later, AwareIM Support managed to get the old database re-registered. This has proven to be quite a difficult job and couldn't have been done without the help of AwareIM Support. I thank them and recommend to other users to keep their software ...

Thanks Support. I have the distributable for 3.0. I just need the new key to install it. I contacted support and they told me to purchase a support ticket. Surely I don't need a support ticket for something as simple as providing another key. I am certainly not paying any more for this product. I am...

Moving AwareIM from one server to another
Hi group. I have had AwareIM running on a server without trouble for several years. It is still the old version 3.0. I haven't upgraded it as it does the job just fine and if the wheel aint broke don't fix it. The problem is that that server is now being deactivated for good and I have to get AwareI...

Hi Tom, Sorry, I am using version 3 and it appears I have been mistaken as usual. the reference attribute doesn't look protected when the form is opened; ie. it is not greyed out and has the select users button there, but if you try and change it, it will not change. SO I would say that it is workin...

Protect Reference Attribute
Is it possible to protect a reference attribute? I tried it using a rule. the rule works for regular attributes but all the reference attributes are not protected.
I have tried searching for this answer on the forum, but can't see this specific question there.

After extensive testing, I have found that the behaviour of the access levels is quite strange. If I have it set to creator full access, others read only, I cannot enter any data when I create a new instance of the BO under this level of access. The blank form comes up read only. Existing forms are ...

access levels
I am using aware 3 and recently I tried to set some access levels for the BO called Corrective Action. I want to enable the creator full access others read only for the available fields. Only problem is that when I try to use it the whole thing appears as read only and I can't enter any data. I have...

Access Levels Again
Hi All, Has anyone ever had any troubles with Access Levels making all attributes on a form read only, even at the data entry stage? I have a BO where the attributes have all been set to Creator full access: Others read only except for 2 which I have not available, which stops people seeing them. Wh...

Hi Tom, I just realised again why I didn't get much further with this one. I quickly found that I need to use data from several business objects to get all the attributes on the label. For this, I would probably need a temporary BO or something similar. HMM I had better keep the brain ticking over b...

Printing Reports with Multiples in Subreports
This was an interesting one, that I cannot work out. In fact I am not sure how to even start on it. I have a BO called Audits, which has an attribute called Auditors. This attribute allows you to select multiple Users from the list. ' I have a report, which is a basic "Printout" of Audits. Using mul...
