Document PopUp Problem help request

I have a document that is created from my application which runs perfect on one computer but the same document on another computer (XP Pro) runs and the window opens and then is killed before the document is displayed. I have turned off every pop up blocker I can find. I've lowered security settings...

Export and Printer Friendly Fix Info

This may have been covered somewhere in the forum but just for information purposes. We were having some users who could not click on the Export Button from a view or even the printer friendly button and get this to execute. In some cases it would execute the export after 20 or 30 minutes but would ...

How would I do it individually? I don't want the user to have to create mutiple entries. I need them to upload a r...

More ? Notifications

I've been using Aware for a few years and until now have not had a need for notifications. I have looked at the sample databases, read the help, and looked over the forums and I hate to say. I'm just totally confused by how this works? I have a BO called Site, I have another BO called Inspect...

AwareIM and Windows Server 2008

I just wondered if anyone has run Aware on a Windows Server 2008 box? I'm looking to move servers away from GoDaddy and have the ability to put 2008 on the box. I just don't want to be the beta tester for Microsoft 8)

Hi Pete, you have my Attention!! I've moved servers once which is a little painful just due to moving the 12GB of data but if you're seeing 5 times faster then I'm planning a move as soon as possible. I guess I've held on with GoDaddy for too long, but now it is time to move up in the world :? Thank...

The total database size is about 12GB and the queries are searching some 50 thousand documents (and growing daily). The database is running on Derby (which I wish was different only because I think it might be faster on SQL and the case sensitive searches are a pain). I use indexing a lot and they s...

Archive Suggestions?

I have a database with BO of Projects which have associated BO's of Inspections. I'm looking for ways to speed up queries and I'm starting to think about how I could Archive old projects or reports so they are not searched in current queries. I need to keep the data avaliable but wondered if anyone ...

After doing my own research I've found that should a user attempt to upload a file with the & or @ character in the file name then the system will throw this error. If they rename the file attachment and remove these from the name the upload will be fine.

Hope that helps someone else...

Wow, I'm not exactly sure how to take your response! I get that you want to sell a support ticket and I'm fine with paying for support. As for "blindly' upgrading explain to me how I am supposed to test every possible problem in the database. I did do testing and have not had other issues but it's s...

"XML returned from the server does not have 'root' elem

I just upgraded an application I've been using for over 2 years to Version 4. The database is Derby and I have many users that upload file attachments to the database daily. The database size is around 10GB. I have users that cannot upload any file attachments due to the error "XML returned from the...

This was in a version 3 app. I went ahead and upgraded it to version 4 and I don't have the same problem. What I mean by the process is the user would run a query. For example a query by date range. The would get the form asking for the begin and end dates. Then click on search. The search query wil...
