Also, when updating the AwareIM Configuration Tool on the client, it overwrites those configuration files as well.

Updating Version Overwrites Configuration Files

When updating to a new version of AwareIM, the setup program overwrites the existing configuration files for AwareIM, Tomcat, etc..Can you please fix this so it doesn't do that?

Shortcuts Fail to Initialize

When you create an Initialization Rule to set the value of a reference attribute, shortcuts that are based on that attribute fail to initialize until after the form is submitted. For example, I have a reference attribute, "StaffMember" and shortcut attributes, "StaffMemberFirstName" and "StaffMember...

Yes, you're correct. I apologize for the confusion. Nevertheless, I think it would be better if AwareIM disallowed identically named rules containing differing rule text, within a BOG. For example, if you modify the rule text in one BO, and decline to apply the changes to other rules of the same nam...

Concatenate Attributes

Is there any way to concatenate two or more attributes that are displayed on a form? For example, I have a shortcut attribute, "FirstName" and a shortcut attribute, "LastName". On the form, I want to display the FirstName, then a space and then the LastName. The way I'm doing it now is I have the tw...

Modifying Rules Within a BOG

When modifying rules on a BO within a BOG, I would like to propose that AwareIM provide the user with an additional option in the "Identical rule is found" dialog: "Apply this change to all business objects in this group that contain identical rules" The purpose is to allow the user to prevent Aware...

Actually, I'm working with the CRM.bsv file that's in the sample directory. Try the following: 1. Create a new business space and import CRM.bsv 2. Rename the "Customer" object to "Client" 3. Run an integrity check I get two integrity errors, both due to rules that reference the "Customer" object an...

It definitely does not rename all references to an attribute when you rename the attribute. If I rename an attribute and then run an integrity check, it gives me all kinds of errors, because the references to that attribute in rules, queries, etc... have not been updated to the new name. I then have...

I would like to add my vote for this feature as well. The ability to export a Business Space as XML would be hugely useful. For example, I need to rename an attribute. Unfortunately, the attribute name is referenced in various other objects, such as rules, queries, etc... Since AwareIM does not incl...

Yes, of course you can manually export or update to the server. That's what I do now. The problem is that you have to constantly have to remember to do saves. Therefore, I submitted "Auto Save" as a feature request.

Auto Update

It would be really nice if the AwareIM Configuration Tool included an auto update/backup feature that would periodically save a local copy of the Business Space, and/or do an "Update and Keep Locked". I've gotten burned several times, doing a lot of work on a Business Space, forgetting to update to ...

OK, makes sense now.

However, I did notice a typo in the "Propagate New Attribute" screen:

"Apply the change to all buisness objects in all groups this object belongs to"

"business" is misspelled.

Fancy widgets are nice, but my definition of a true AJAX interface is one in which the user can submit a form and see the results without waiting for a page refresh. The form is submitted to a Javascript function that communicates with the server in the background and then another Javascript functio...

Changing Attributes on BO's Within a BOG

When you change an attribute on a BO contained within a BOG, AwareIM presents a dialog that gives the user various options pertaining to the effect of this change on other BO's within the BOG. Most of these options make sense, but the last two are a bit confusing: "Apply this and all further changes...
