Re: Pivot grid (Pivot table) on roadmap?

I have a need for pivot tables. Tables with the config.groupable turned on goes a quarter of the way there but the grid contains about 1,000 records and takes forever to render, so is a very very poor substitute I also need: Google maps as a query format Tree view as a query format (not the director...

Re: Grouping and labels

Yes but the sort needs to be based on code

So

Code: Select all

Code Name
10 Home
20 Export
30 Special
99 Other
Simple grouping on the name would produce

Export
Home
Other
Special

Or
Special
Other
Home
Export

Whereas it needs to be
Home
Export
Special
Other

Re: Are we at risk of needing to pay Oracle for Java fees?

Regarding Open JDK - like you say, we definitely cannot distribute it. Whether you can use it on a hosted server yourself - I am not sure. Check the terms of the GPL license. My understanding is that you can't, but I could be wrong. It seems that OpenJDK is on the more permissive GPLv2 licence and ...

Re: SOAP-based web services survey

But what about US using it on our upcloud or in-house servers? As we understand GPL if you use GPL-based products all the software that you are using must be open source, so you would need the source code for Aware IM to be published. IANA(P)L but It seems to depend on whether you modify OpenJDK an...

Re: Are we at risk of needing to pay Oracle for Java fees?

You can replace Oracle JDK with Open JDK, but AIM cannot distribute Open JDK without making AIM open sourced

Re: SOAP-based web services survey

None of the above
The GPL series are all copyleft licenses, which means that any derivative work must be distributed under the same or equivalent license terms.
To distribute Open JDK would require AIM to be open sourced

Is there a reason to use Oracle JDK instead of Open JDK?

Re: Develop a court reservation app

You may not get any responses to this request as it is a bit "can I do this, can you do it for me". I would start with four business objects. Members use the RegularUser BO or create a member BO in the Business Object Group SystemUsers. Court - a simple BO with a name and any other information that ...

Re: Tip: Multiple groups grouping (nested) in query

This is awesome and has fixed a whole bunch of issues I have been having with the lack of tabs within panels of a VP. How do you render this to be collapsed on opening? Not yet no, I did google it and it SEEMED a JS/Jquery simulated click was the only way BUT this may have been old information so m...

FR - TODO records

So, I've just come back to a piece of work that I started a few months ago. Then the phone rang, then I had to do something else then before I knew it months had passed and I was trying to debug something else and then I realised I hadn't finished the thing I started before the phone rang. If I had ...
