Hmmm I have another problem with this, when I try to query the data as this will be exported into another system, the reference attributes are not available? For example: I have an agency submitting and Assignent sheet populated by references to other Business Objects. I need somebody here to pull u...

Hi Thanks for the quick response. I will try to explain.... I have a business object called Temp, which as the name suggests stores all information form Temporary workers. These temps are submitted by users at our Agencies. Once we receive this information we check it (in another Visual perspective)...

Hi Is it possible to edit records by picking values from other business objects? I have successfully achieved this when I enter a NEW record but not when editing. My code when creating a new record would look something like the following: ENTER NEW Change WITH Change.Name=Temp.Name USING Form I have...

Spreadsheet Style Entry
Hi Just a very quick question so I dont waste a lot of time trying to work this one out . . . Is there any functionality at all that provides the ability to enter information in a spreadsheet style format, where each row would constitute a record in the database. We have a situation where users will...

Hi Yes basically I am saying that no matter what I do to the Tick box (or any tick box it would seem) I get no joy. I have looked in the Logger in the Control Panel and I couldn't see the values of the fields. Basically from the rule used above if I leave the tick box blank I get the Report Error an...

Tick Boxes
Hi I am probably going to sound a bit daft now but I am having a real problem with tick boxes in my rules. I have a situation where I need a user to sort of check off several items before an object can be "passed". I have a drop down box that contains the wording "Yes", "No", and "Waiting". When "Ye...

Hi Thanks again for that, I was wondering really how the performance would be affected with me adding lots of rules. I have created the rules, yes copy and pasting is a god send. All is working fine and I have 64 rules attatched to the creation of this one object now and you really cannot tell! I ex...

Hi I just wanted to give you an update, the rule I put in the system works a treat however as I suggested I have a lot of values I need to do this for. I wrote a long list in the form: If OLD_VALUE(Temp.AccountNumber) <>'' Then PROTECT Temp.AccountNumber FROM ALL EXCEPT Administrator Else If OLD_VAL...

Hi Thanks Aware Support and also AB042 for that. I didn't realise there was a function called OLD_VALUE. I will give this a try. I must say though that sometimes it would be nice to see some of these prefixes in the suggested text. Things like this and the old favourite "LoggedIn" are not available....
