Introduction

The purpose of this document is to show how to configure real world business applications using AwareIM. The document aims to serve as a studying and reference material for anyone who wants to configure business applications using AwareIM – it contains many practical examples, configuration and operation patterns and demonstrates the key features of AwareIM.

The document has a format of a case study – it explains how to design and configure a particular business application (the software system to operate a public library). It covers all aspects of the application creation – from requirements to configuration and testing.

The document should be read in conjunction with the AwareIM documentation – in particular, AwareIM Concepts, Configuring Applications and Aware IM Rule Language Reference.
