====== Scheduling ======

Quite often applications need to perform processing of data at some regular time intervals, for example, financial reports may need to be compiled at the end of each quarter; reminder e-mails may need to be sent about meetings each Friday. 

//**Aware IM**// allows configuring //scheduling items// that determine the times when this data processing occurs. The data processing must be encapsulated in a process (see [[docs:2000_concepts:0200_basics:0300_processes_link_ui_business_logic|Processes as Links between User Interface and Business Logic]]). It is possible to start a process as a one-off event or as a regularly recurring event. Configuration of scheduling items is described in the [[docs:2500_config_apps:2100_scheduling|Scheduling]] section.
