please note that for the past 3 Aware build releases I lose the VAR folder contents every time (latest one 867)

I am restoring a copy sent to me by support but am concerned that this area may be subject to changes that I will not get down the line.

Please check the following when you install Aware IM next time:
1) You are running SETUPVAR.exe not SETUP.exe
2) Aware IM services are stopped or uninstalled
3) No other application is using files in the VAR directory
4) You have sufficient permissions for this directory

We have checked the installation multiple times on our systems and it works fine.

What is the download url for setupvar.exe as opposed to the eval download on the website

It is available for download to holders of Aware IM Developer Edition license. Please contact support@awareim.com for download instructions.
