Aware IM User Forums

Has anyone attempted to use Aware IM as the platform for financial accounting? I am working on a hospital MIS, and can see its use in patient appointments, scheduling, CRM, etc, but as the basis for my accounting system (payroll, receivable, payables, reporting, etc.)?

I have built some basic financial processes with AwareIM.

No reason why you could not build very sophisticated financial systems to handle a complete range of financial processes on AwareIM.

My app, although started as an online flight logging system, is now a fully fledged Sales Ledger.

There's no problem at all in developing that kind of app. I stopped short of developing the nominal (general) ledger because of time/ size of my available market but I provide reports and export routines for transferring into Quickbooks/sage.

Hi,
I'm about to tackle the task of exporting Purchase Receipts to Quickbooks. Any tips on how you handled the whole Quickbooks export side of things?

Hi Pete,

A while back we have developed in collaboration with AwareIM a plugin that exports purchase orders , invoices , customers and suppliers to QuickBooks.
You should contact them to either purchase and use as is or use it as a starting platform for further development. The plugin is still currently functional in our application and being used successfully.
