Tip won't show for radio buttons widget

I tried it all three ways (pop-up, underneath, to the right) and no luck as well as with radio buttons in single column (vertical) or multi-column (horizontal).

1. Create a form with a plain text attribute set to the radio buttons widget.
2. Add a tip for that attribute.
3. See that the tip does not show.

Note: For the slider widget when set to vertical, the pop-up tip does show, but the ? sits on top the middle value.

I'm having the same issue. Also, tip text is not displayed for checkboxes and swap selectors.
