Currently to stop the server you have to quit UI. And to close the UI you have to quit the UI again.
When you want to stop the server and restart the server again this is a pain.
It would be useful (and more consistent) if there was another two buttons on the UI - Start Server and Stop Server. Then you could stop the server to allow settings to take hold then restart the server. And it would make shutting down the app a consistent experience Quit being Quit every time not Quit Stop the Server and Quit Close the App.

Re: Big Red Button
I remember in older version (v6) was there... you able to start and stop from the control panel.
It would be nice if have again!

Re: Big Red Button
Have you tried running as windows service? A lot more stable as a service than an application, and if something happens where your server restarts then at least awareim starts running without your interaction required.
AwareIM Developer edition. Version 8.5 (Build 2827) running on Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard

Re: Big Red Button
I don't use MS infrastructure, but running as a Daemon or a Service doesn't help the issue of instances when you need to repeatedly start and stop the server, e.g. changing memory parameters etc.yahya wrote:Have you tried running as windows service?
