SystemSettings Lock wait timeout exceeded; try restarting transaction?

The last couple of days I have started getting the following error and when I get this (daily, 2 times today already) AwareIM freeze and can´t be used or accessed (I have to restart the server and then it works for a while).

Error persisting business object SystemSettings Lock wait timeout exceeded; try restarting transaction
Any ideas?
