4.0: Handling browser history (back/forward/refresh button)
4.0: Handling browser history (back/forward/refresh button)
I have the impression that currently AwareIM 4.0 does NOT handle the native browser history at all in the default ExtJS-based UI. Or can one somehow enable the users to navigate the history via the browser native back/forward buttons ? Is there even some more sophisticated undo/redo-mechanism available ? And what about the refresh button ? I ask these questions because they are about an user experience many users will expect in web 2.0 Ajax apps.

Back button should not be used AT ALL. If the button could be disabled we would have done so. Same applies to the Refresh button. They are both a "no-no" in version 4.0 (although a Refresh button can be used to re-start the application is some cases)
Version 4.0 is fully driven by AJAX where Back and Refresh buttons have no meaning.
