I have just found out that ExtJS 2.2 has been released:

Do You have an upgrade policy to stay in sync with the latest ExtJS releases ? These client-side JS frameworks are still evolving and so products that leverage them are appreciated even more if they try to leverage those latest improvements relatively soon.

There is no "policy". Of course, we try to stay in synch with the latest versions of all 3rd party libraries that we use in our product, but that does not mean that we will release a new version of our product as soon as there is a new version of a library. We incorporate new versions as we see fit - depending on the new features and depending on how this fits into our own plans.
Besides, it is not just a matter of plugging in a new version of a library - we add a lot of value as well by integrating the new features into Aware IM specific concepts.
