Charts in dasboard type of view

I'm evaluating this great tool and I'm trying to create a dashboard where I need to show charts but not in a PDF. I saw the sample to use the chart components in the reports. However, I need to show it in a 'custom' presentation, I guess; Is this at all possible. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Yes, you can do this - like you said it yourself you need to design a custom presentation for some business object the data of which you want to show in the chart. Then you need to define a query on this object and get it to use the presentation.
