Config Tool - Eclipse setup , its a dog or is it me ?

Post by ACDC »

I have V8.5 running on my laptop, its Windows, i7 cpu 15gb ram, ssd (high speed), everything working highly efficient except for screen refresh and certain setup processes in the configuration tool

It seems as though there is a memory setting somewhere within the eclipse setup that is not working or missing, sometimes it takes 4-5 seconds to preview or refresh or load a form 

Also, sometimes in the configurator, I have to close the Object tab I am working with and reload because it becomes non-responsive.

I have tried everything, its definitely a memory issue and I have plenty.

Happy New Year

I have 2GB allocated to the config tool, things seem normal and underutilized in my system processes, specifically the java machines, they running at 20 per cent of the allocated memory. Its almost like there is a memory setting absent from the eclipse setup, or its not being configured

Post your config tool .conf file
And a screen cap of the Settings/General page in Config tool

How large is your BSV, I am running north of 10MB, maybe that's the problem

Here's another incredibly frustrating event , if I have more than one form open for editing, and then make changes to one of them and save, all the other forms close forcing me to go back and retrieve the forms again
