Just noticed about Num fields. Float vs Integer

Post by Jaymer »

Build: v8.1 2466
os: Windows Server 2012
db: SQL Server

If you create a Numeric attribute, it gets created in the db as a FLOAT, even though it shows "#" in the sub-elements properties.
UNTIL
you go into the FORMAT property (changing nothing) and click OK.

Doing that will change it to INT in the database ONCE you put it into Test,
ALONG WITH a Warning that you may lose data if you previously had it into Test already.

You may change a few fields, or even just Add 1 field, and that Warning message may throw you off because you don't think you did anything to warrant a Loss of Data.
