What happened to User Defined Queries - did I miss something

Post by rocketman »

in my app, V5.9 had a facility for users to define (and run) their own queries. When I upgraded to 8.1 this functionality continued to work. When I recently went to move the functionality from one menu to another, there was no command "Manage Queries" in the command list (or it's required companion "Run User Defined Queries")

So I'm kinda stuck. Dare not delete the menu items I've already got and which is working - cannot re-create the commands in a different place because they are not available to me in the list of available commands.

Also the other thing that really sucks is - users cannot now add to what's already there because the list of available user types (access levels) is long and covers up the "Save/Cancel" buttons

you could hack the CSS and shorten the pulldown so it doesn't cover it up? (but i'm not exactly sure what screen you're referring to)

It's the opening screen in "Manage user defined queries" where you have the option to add a new query or edit an existing one, then there's a drop down to allow you to select which users are allowed to run the query.

The user list window, rather than being a short window with scroll bar (which is how it used to be in 5.9) just gets longer and longer

I'd post a screenshot but this BB doesn't allow for the pasting of images

I just updated to the latest build and this is still an issue. My users are complaining as they can no longer use the managed queries. I've emailed a screenshot to you Support.
