Wish: duplication of forms, sections and rules

It should be possible to duplicate a Form and, separately, form sections within a business object.

The same is true of rules.

I spend afair bit of wasted time doing this kind of thing by hand.

Copying/pasting of forms and form sections is on our TODO list.

As far as rules are concerned - you can copy and paste them now. Just expand the corresponding tree node, select the rule and click on the copy button in the tool bar.

OK so I'm working with the rules of the Account object. I've just made a rule and now want to make a similar rule.

Using your approach I have to.

1. Save the rules for the object I'm on

2. click in the tree to open that object stuff

3. click in the tree to open up the list of rules.

4. find the rule to copy and right-click on it

5. scroll the popup menu to the Copy item and select it

6. go back to the top of the list and right click on the Rules item and scroll to the Paste item and choose it

If I had a Duplicate button, with the rule I want to duplicate selected, all I'd need to do is click it.

Which do you think is easier for developers? Which is more obvious?

I agree. Improvements to copy-paste of configuration elements are also on our TODO list.
