Stored Procedures Don't Get Copied?
Stored Procedures Don't Get Copied?
Hi and TIA.
I'm not DB savvy, so I have a question about Maria.
I created a new BS in AwareIm, using a new database... then imported an existing bsv into it.
None of the Stored procedures got copied to the new BS.
I also noticed that I can't copy the Stored procedures?
Is there an easy way to make a duplicate BS, complete and identical?

Re: Stored Procedures Don't Get Copied?
Stored procedures do get copied if you define them in the properties of a business space version.

But there's no way to move them from Maria to the BS?aware_support wrote: ↑Thu Mar 16, 2023 11:57 pm Stored procedures do get copied if you define them in the properties of a business space version.
Or can I just create each of them, then delete the ones from Maria?

Re: Stored Procedures Don't Get Copied?
I never put them in the BSV. Mainly because I can never clearly understand how that is supposed to work.
I add all of my SP directly to the DB manually.... And, Edit them directly in the DB

Re: Stored Procedures Don't Get Copied?
When stored procedures are stored in a business space version they are applied to the underlying database when the business space is published for the first time.

Re: Stored Procedures Don't Get Copied?
Is there a video or visual that show us how to do create and store the stored procedures in AwareIM ? Because if it's simple enough I would see no need to store them outside of AwareIM. Re: Stored Procedures Don't Get Copied?
- Double click your Business Space
- Then click three dots button on Database scripts option in Business Space Version
- Click Add link text for add SQL scripts in Database Scripts dialog box
- Next, click Add link text for add SQL statement as you want

But as per my original post, what would you do if you wanted to make, say, a "sandbox" version BS, completely separate from the original?
Re-create all SPs?

Of course I have ALL of the SP for any app saved as .sql files.
So, even it there is, say, 20 Stored Procedures for an app.... take 5 minutes to load them up into a new or temporary DB
