Feature request: a TimeOut URL - set in BSV
Feature request: a TimeOut URL - set in BSV
It would be AWESOME to be able to set a field on SystemSettings for a TimeOutURL and then when a user times out it redirects to this URL. I would like to set it to a login page I can write with a special note "You have been logged out for your own security, please log back in."
It does need to be set per BSV though, not just a one off generic one.

votes from me. Setting long timeout sessions causes other problems when concurrent # of users grow, so this proposal helps when setting shorter timeout session.

The would eliminate a lot of confusion on the part of users.

I would go a bit further and propose that it would generate some sort of notification to the user that their session is about to terminate. Standard feature on just about any web app.

I even like this better to eliminate login again.kklosson wrote:I would go a bit further and propose that it would generate some sort of notification to the user that their session is about to terminate. Standard feature on just about any web app.
I hope Support is reading these.

Re: Feature request: a TimeOut URL - set in BSV
Support, any chance of this?
A strange side effect of V7 is that we now have badges with 1 second refresh, and when a timeout occurs you get a pop-up warning every second. With the animation on it is enough to induce a fit!

Hi Aware team, kklosson wrote:I would go a bit further and propose that it would generate some sort of notification to the user that their session is about to terminate. Standard feature on just about any web app.
Do we have anything handy currently to handle such situations? Its a great feature to have in AIM and will help users who spend much time in application, like entering data in parts during their workday and need uninterrupted access to application without data loss.

Having this on a user level would be ideal, is this possible today in some way?
