Hello!
I'm using a multi-selector in the following form. As I type a text, the search looks for words matching the start of the looked up words, like so:

Problem I noted is, that it doesn't work in all cases. For instance, if I type "Fl" for "Fremish", the search doesn't show any results:

On the other hand, it does work for "nl":

Any ideas how this can be fixed?
Thanks.

I think it can only search in the way it is searching, ie. only records containing the search string as is will be shortlisted.

Thanks for the post.
Regarding your comment:

Thanks.
Regarding your comment:
That's exactly the problem: even though the record contains the search string, it is not being shortlisted. Given the string "Dutch; Flemish nl", the search results are inconsistent, as the search returns a result for "Du" and "Fl", but not for "nl".only records containing the search string as is will be shortlisted
Any ideas how this can be fixed?
Thanks.
Re: Inconsistent search results in multi-selector input stri
In your original post you wrote that search string 'Fl' doesn't work for 'Fremish', but 'nl' does work for a value containing 'nl'.
This made sense because 'Fl' (consecutively) is not contained in 'Fremish'.
I assumed you'd intentionally misspelled Flemish as Fremish because you were hoping some fuzzy logic search functionality exists.
Additionally, l and r are a long way apart on the keyboard and so it did not seem your misspelling was sn accident.
Thus, based on the information you provided, my reply was structured accordingly.
And the image you posted even showed 'nl' working.
But now you're saying it doesn't?

Re: Inconsistent search results in multi-selector input stri
Sorry for the confusion.
The original post is correct, but I misspelled 'Flemish'.
The full search string is "Dutch; Flemish nl", as shown here:

The problem is that, when I type "Fl" for "Flemish", the search doesn't show any results:

Thanks!

Re: Inconsistent search results in multi-selector input stri
and does it still work when you use another search string which is not at the beginning like 'du' is, such as 'nl'?
and what happens for 'fl' search string if you change the preceding ; to , or just remove the ; altogether and have a space only between the 3 strings?
