Feature Request:
I'd like to ask the team to consider the following feature in IDE (Config. tool). Sometimes the the Context Assistant (CA) gets in the way, or covers the content, so I have to close it and then re-open it. while writing a single rule, this can happen several times.
My Suggestion: While the CA is visible, if we press CTRL key, it will make it either fully invisible (while the key is down) or make it 90% transparent, and once we release the CTRL key, then it becomes fully visible. This will allow us to see underneath and the quickly continue without closing and opening. The IDE can use a series of power tools.
Thanks!

Re: FR - Ability to hide Context Assistant
Hi,
I'm using like this:
ESC key : closes the context
F3 key : opens the context
This way it's ok for me, I hope for you , too...
Nice day..

Re: FR - Ability to hide Context Assistant
Microsoft Visual Studio is literally used by millions of developers worldwide. When this feature was originally requested, it got one of the highest votes as a productivity tool and when it was implemented, it was a blessing.weblike wrote:Hi,

Holding a key down a key (CTRL or ALT or Shift) for a split second is much more productive than pressing ESC, F3 over and over...
Re: FR - Ability to hide Context Assistant
Ben, your proposed solution would absolutely be better and Weblike, nice workaround. I hadn´t thought of that before myself .

Re: FR - Ability to hide Context Assistant
Here are two screen shots I made to illustrate the point;
In this shot, when the Context Assistant in VS shows, you can see it's blocking the command Initialize******
But as soon as I press CTRL key down it shows in 95% transparency which allows the developer to see underneath. It's very convenient during writing code.

Re: FR - Ability to hide Context Assistant
The transparency is a very clever idea
But I'm using the same as weblike ESC+F3
