Location and messenging capabilities
Pete, not quite sure how I would go about this but will look into it. But you mentioned something about Rest services. I understand the new 5.8 has Rest services now. This is not my expertise, but would this be an avenue to look at?

Location and messenging capabilities
My application needs to show all logged in users within a conference hall on a mobile device. Then have the ability of users to message each other. There may be multiple conference rooms so I want to have the ability to specify a are range of location. I don't think AwareIm can access the device but ...

Moving MySQL data to new server question
Answered some of my own questions and found previous post regarding this. I was a little confused on the relationship between the BASDB and MYSQL files because the export gave me both sets of files. When I actually go to my files, I only see the BASDB files so that is what I assume I export. For the...

Moving MySQL data to new server question
We've had a problem with a GoDaddy VPS so we are trying a test on someone else's. We want to move our MySQL data from one to another. The last time we did a complete dump when we imported on a live system (non-evaluation) it killed the licensing and Aware support had to help us get it activated agai...

Godaady vps
Thanks for all the feedback. We are going to install on another vps maybe storm an evaluation copy and let it sit and see if it stays connected. Then if it's stable, transfer the license.
Thanks again for the feedback.

Godaddy VPS problem
Yes, AwareIM made me aware the it was a VPS problem but it's good to hear that confirmation. It's unusable. Do you think another VPS might work differently? One of the other reasons we wanted VPS was the easy scalability. It's kind of a hassle to deactivate and reactivate licenses so I would like to...

Godaddy VM hosting and TCPIP problem
We are hosting AwareIM initially at GoDaddy on a Virtual Server. Quite often it seems that the TC PIP connection is lost because AwareIM is running but nothing works because the data connection is lost as well. We have to shutdown AwareIM and restart it and its up and running fine. Sometimes it will...

I'm not quite sure what you were saying. A Facebook login button is for both new and existing members but it makes it easier for a new member to sign up. So the goal is a Facebook login button on a regular HTML page which call AwareIM and registers them automatically or logs them in. As I mentioned,...

Facebook Login
Most sites are now adding a Facebook login so the user does not have to register for each site. Its a fact that if potential customers have a facebook login, they will more likely go to your site and we think this is hugely important to grow a customer base. Currently we have an HTML page which then...
