Re: Priorities

...There are a lot of things and features in AwareIM that needs finetuning and improving to fully utilize the thing/features potential and/or work better and being less buggy... The new Multi Step Wizard is frustrating. (Something that is crucial to the "Funeral App", but in a specific use case... ...

Priorities - specifically New features and bug fixes

Thought this might get buried if I left it under the "Priorities" thread, so bringing it up as its own thread. this is just a statement, not a criticism of Awaresoft's direction. But some features are dictated by the needs of application that Awaresoft/Vlad are involved in. Meaning... if he (Vlad) ...

Re: Execute Process after Save / Close Form doesnt work ++

vaguely remember experiencing this. from my exp., the main reason to use this (process after Save) is because after the save, you need to run a process. you don't (or can't) want it coming back to the calling process because that process needed to complete with a VIEW as the last statement... if not...

--> "I've implemented my own MFA."
yes, this is easily doable once you log in.
but per the OP, I'm trying to simulate what many other sites do now and not require a PW to get in.

Seems like lots of sites now log you in by sending a code instead of a PW. How will Aware handle this?

Even "big" sites like Paypal will text you a code now. Seems like a new function is needed to convert a Guest session to a real user. You'd have to be on an Aware screen as a Guest to enter a LoginName which exists in the SystemUsers group. Send the SMS and then proceed to another form to enter the ...

Re: Next Version Release Date - any news ?

thats a LOT of pretty incredible features - some of which have been needed for years so its great to see them! the filtering options are going to help the UI and end-users to make Aware more feature-similar to other modern code-free tools... basically "more natural searching" Some Qs: 1) Font-awesom...

Re: Configurator - memory leaks,

The only save button I use is this one hmmm. I NEVER use that one. Other than using Ctrl-S to save an individual screen/process/query, I always use ALT-Q to save the BSV. That "Update version dialog" would drive me crazy. I don't ever have Config tool crashes, except as I said earlier in the thread...

Re: Moving Panel Operations within a Toolbar Menu

I tried all kinds of lower resolutions and restarted the config tool each time. I also executed resetWindow.bat. I cannot see the up/down buttons on that dialog. has nothing to do with resolutions of your display device. has everything to do with the non-default typeface/size you changed in the Con...

Re: Set attribute based on when the user logges in?

All users log into a VP, even if its the default one. Run a process. Do some checking and setting of defaults in that process. You can add other flags to the RegUser table - isManager, AccountingYN, SalesTeam, etc. Then in the Login process, check those flags to do extra things for just those user t...

Daytona? doesn't make sense. why? where do you fly into for Daytona? JAX, orlando. Neither convenient. everyone has to rent a car to get to another city. Are you looking for a beach? ... for screw off time? why not Clearwater beach (among many others) then? in Tampa. 2 airports. St. Pete & Tampa or ...

Re: Tab Order frustrations - Why?

No, this is a Vlad issue at this point (But I haven't tried this specifically in a recent version). Although its pretty easy with only 2 fields and a tab order. But as I've said before when I report things... if no one else makes it an issue, then why should he put much effort into it if after years...

Re: I Think I Must Be Going Crazy :-|

I've never done it that way. I'll break Rule 1 into 2 Rules and use SEARCH_COUNT > 0 (or SEARCH_COUNT = 1) to call the subtask. But as to the brain teaser: a) I'd say it always calls the subtask, but since thats ambiguous (pending tests), I'd examine logs or not worry about it since I'd be using SEA...
