Re: Need Help from Win Upcloud users on 8.1 Slow Email test

Thanks Mark for trying... Hope you post your results soon. Here's how my CRM works in FAST mode. This is v8.0, System Settings for mail settings, Microsoft Azure server, Win 2012r2 https://www.flickr.com/gp/10438488@N00/xq0Tg8 (edited, had posted the wrong video - hence the next 2 msgs from Mark & B...

Re: Emails: instead of Mandrill, et.al., try direct to GMAIL

bump for mrbdrm I was going to ask you some more Qs, and then I saw this unanswered. One issue we're having using GMail API is the authentication box/login to Google that has to come up to let the App send email on the user's behalf. Most of the time it works and its fine, but I have one case where ...

Re: 8.1 Calculated Column testing

I did that first, then fell back to the lowercase M as a second test. The docs do not show that AS=STRING allows a format parameter. Also, if you look at the format masks for a date or timestamp field, they both upper and lower case M’s. The lowercase M‘s suppress the leading zero for months one thr...

No Win users out there.
I may dump Upcloud and go back to AWS this weekend if I can't get this solved.

8.1 Reporter TABLE control. Nice.

Its surprising how many aware ppl I talk to who have NOT used the included Report Designer. Technically, that even includes Bruce, because he uses the full Jasper externally. Any maybe until a year ago, I was in that boat... having never really used it. I recently discovered the new TABLE "tag", con...

8.1 Calculated Column testing

I can't say I've had 100% success with the new CC. Most times I give up and do something a different way. This time I wanted this output: Screen Shot 2018-05-31 at 12.31.46 AM.png but when my calculated was this: AS_STRING(Lead.DateLastActivity) + ' (' + Lead.LastActivityType + ')' i got this: Scree...

Re: Show only first part of a large text field on a grid

that must be an html field? maybe 1 of these will work: either have a copy of it in another field (using a rule) thats not marked as HTML, or use the new 8.1 function to make a calculated column and show that? but an html field shown in regular text field will show all the html markup (looks ugly ma...

►Q◄ use built-in Access Levels, or make your own?

Here's why I ask. Lets say I have this hierarchy OF ACCESS LEVELS at a company: Developer (thats me. this is a multi-tenant app. this user can see/do all) Admin (create any user, any level) Regional Manager (same, see's only level of his and below) Office Manager (same) Sales (no create, level is di...

Re: Any suggestions for designing a "Drip" email campaign?

thx all valid points. i don't have any issue with writing some code to clean up 'un-needed unsent emails' if the need arise - the trick would be how to determine that need. all of this is user-defined and multi-tenant. 1 person using it during recruiting and another for new-hires - no easy way to te...

Re: Mass email process

Thanks Tom, after going over this quite a lot, I decided to make my own many-to-many file. i got more flexibility I think instead of letting AIM manage lists for me. I'm doing my own middle file and no lists are involved. For now, I'm limiting users to only one list - so while I can support many lis...

Any suggestions for designing a "Drip" email campaign?

So I have User-defined Email templates working now (so a user doesn't have to re-type over and over a similar email to prospects/leads). And now they want to schedule 5 emails, 1 a week for the next 5 weeks, for example. They may use filters to find a subset of the data, and add them to a user-defin...

Should be able to enter a comment line anywhere... FIND Blah Blah Blah // This is a Comment Blah.Attribute='Excellent' Oh I agree, but I was posting that in light of this being the “what’s easiest to do” motif for this thread. I guess it comes down to is it easier for him to change his parser, or e...
