Re: Phone Number Mask on Query

Dave, revisiting this in light of the recent AI/template thread.
This is really cool, and it was three years ago.
I’m sure you’ve come up with some even better since then.
Are you able to show any screens of grids that do some cool stuff?

Re: Disable Selected Records in PICK Query

OK, I’m not so big on the AI integration part, because unless I’m wrong, chat GPT doesn’t write anything new… There is nothing new under the sun they say… It’s just finding a script out of the 10,000s it’s already been trained on and it’s just repeating an article for you. That’s what I thought it d...

Re: Disable Selected Records in PICK Query

Way Cool!..... Not the perfect configuration for Aware but all the necessary needed parts are provided. Well, did you get this working? I would disagree that “all the necessary needed parts are provided “ unless you were able to modify the template. Normally in aware, we end up modifying the HTML t...

Grid plugin

EDIT: In the properties of a grid, there’s an option for using a plug-in. Is that a holdover from the old Sencha times? Or is that something for today? Would be great to see an example of how a [Java?] plug-in does something cool on the grid that’s not normally able to be done. ---------------------...

Absolute position (in forms)

It would be nice for someone to show how the new absolute positioning feature is supposed to work.
With before/after results… I mean, showing something that couldn’t be done that the new feature now allows.

I wasn’t able to use this feature at all.
Makes no sense.

Re: Adding timestamp to EXECUTION_CONTEXTS

yeah, i hear ya but thats beside the point.

Easy to add a timestamp.
If you needed to examine it before the nightly purge, you could learn something if you had a mess of records stuck in there and you could see the timestamp.

Bug related to saving a form

In bld 3249 (V9), I turned in a bug today. I have a Form w/10 sections. Have only noticed this on one section - Main. I have a field I tried to remove (I click the cell and change to Empty), and it removes it. The "*" appears in the Tab, so Eclipse knows its "dirty" and needs to be saved. (Even if I...

Re: anyone have weird saving issues in Config Tool - v9 ?

ok, I just found 1 anomaly - there has to be more. I went back to that same form and needed to drag the dotted line in a cell that had 2 fields. 2nd field was too close to the first. I dragged it and the form knew it was dirty and needed saving - but the Ctrl-S would not save. I went to another form...

anyone have weird saving issues in Config Tool - v9 ?

I have ALWAYS run across times where I edit a screen (form) and the SAVE button is dimmed - hence a Ctrl-S doesn't work. I'm seeing this now regularly - probably 50% of the time I'm editing forms. I just cannot save a form because Eclipse thinks nothing is changed. The ONLY way I can save is to Alt-...

Adding timestamp to EXECUTION_CONTEXTS

Has anyone asked for this before? Traditionally, I've NEVER had any issues with this file growing and having to manually edit it. I did just notice only 2 lines in a production system, and that begs the question "How long have they been there?" Wouldn't be any work for Vlad to add a timestamp to eac...
