===== Conditional element =====

A conditional element is an element of a [[glossary:report|report]] or a [[glossary:presentation|presentation]] that can be displayed differently depending on [[glossary:condition|conditions]] attached to the element. A single condition can be used to specify whether the element should be displayed. If the condition is not met the element is not displayed. In particular, this may be used in letter [[glossary:document_template|templates]] to designate conditional text.

Multiple conditions can be used to specify how the element should be displayed. For example, an amount can be shown in black if it is non-negative, in red if it is negative, or a little picture can be displayed if the value of the amount is unknown.
