Aware IM server, or simply the server, is the central component of //**[[glossary:aware_im]]**//. It manages [[glossary:business_space|business space]] data in the [[glossary:operation_mode|operation mode]], maintains the configuration information of business spaces and provides the [[glossary:configuration_tool]] with it, handles communication between //**[[glossary:aware_im]]**// and other software systems.
